Procedure

 

  • Decide whether you will take the computer based exam or the traditional paper and pencil exam.

  • Complete online Registration and provide payment. 

  • Paper pencil exams are available at a variety of sites in the USA and Europe. Click the Exam Sites tab for current exam listing.  We can also bring the exam to your program. Click here for an application to hosting an exam.

  • Computer-based testing is available to you at designated testing sites in each state. See the list of current sites at AMP - Assessment Center List. There is an additional site fee of $54.00 for the CBT exam. Results are available immediately.


    Paper Pencil Exams

    • Complete online registration.
    • Confirmations for the paper/pencil exam will be sent out via email one week prior to the exam date.
    • On the day of the exam please be sure to arrive 15 minutes before the scheduled start time and with the appropriate form of identification and a copy of your paramedic license.

    • No computers, pagers or phones allowed. Simple calculators are acceptable.

    • A score report will be mailed to you within six weeks.

    • The Flight Paramedic Certification is valid for four years and may be renewed by CE or retesting.

     

    Computer-Based Testing

    • You must register online and FAX a copy of your paramedic license to the BCCTPC office at (770) 979-6500, before you are eligible to schedule an exam.
    • An email from the BCCTCP confirming your eligibility to take the CBT exam will be sent out three to five days after your registration and a copy of your license is received by the BCCTPC office.
    • The confirmation will contain the assigned FPC ID Number you will need when scheduling your exam.  Exams may be scheduled online at AMP - BCCTPC Exam or by calling 1-888-519-9901.
    • On the day of the exam please be sure to arrive on time with the appropriate form of identification.  (see handbook)

    • No computers, pagers or phones allowed. Simple calculators are acceptable.

    • The exam is 135 questions, 10 of those are trial questions. You have 2.5 hours to complete the exam.
    • A score report will be distributed prior to leaving the CBT exam.
    • Flight Paramedic Certification is valid for 4 years and may be renewed by CE or by retesting..

  NEW BENEFIT FOR MILITARY VETERANS TAKING THE FP-C EXAM     

The BCCTPC is very pleased to announce that the FP-C Exam has been added to the list of tests approved by the Veterans Administration.  Veterans and other beneficiaries may receive reimbursement for the cost to take the FP-C Exam.  Forms and instructions can be obtained from the GI Bill website
